Services

Every Friday evening, regular Shabbat evening services (Kabalat Shabbat) are held at the Ec Chaim Synagogue, during which we welcome the arrival of Shabbat. Once or twice a month, we hold Shabbat morning services (Shabbat Shacharit) on Saturdays, during which the Torah scroll is traditionally read. Once a month, we hold a Shabbat service for children. We also hold holiday services on the occasion of Jewish holidays.

Services at Ec Chaim, in the spirit of the Czech Jewish Reform tradition, are accompanied by the organ, which is part of our synagogue’s inventory thanks to a generous donation from the Pestalozzistraße Synagogue of the Jewish Community in Berlin. Our music director and organist, Professor Dr. Ralph Selig, oversees the development of our synagogue’s musical tradition.
